Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy explains how the NicheSpark Chrome extension (“the extension”) and the website nichespark.tech (“the website”) handle information. In short, NicheSpark is designed to keep your research on your own device.
What the extension stores
The extension stores the following, locally in your Chrome profile (IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local):
- Projects you create: name, seed keyword, chosen Google domain and language, and prefix, suffix and template lists.
- Generated queries and their status (pending, done, empty or failed), including error messages.
- Keyword suggestions captured from Google Autocomplete, with the queries and methods that found them, timestamps and counts.
- Collection progress and small interface preferences, such as the last opened project.
This data never leaves your device through NicheSpark. We have no server that receives it, and we cannot see it.
What the extension reads
- The extension runs only on the supported Google Search domains listed in its manifest.
- On those pages it only uses the search box and the autocomplete suggestions, and only while you are running a collection.
- Your own search-history entries that Google shows in the dropdown are recognized and are not saved.
- It does not read or collect your browsing history, cookies, passwords, form data or the content of other websites.
Communication with Google
To collect suggestions, the extension enters your generated queries into the Google search box in a browser tab, just as you would by typing. Google receives these queries as normal searches typed in your browser, and Google's own privacy policy applies to that interaction. NicheSpark does not add identifiers or send any other data to Google.
Permissions
- storage and unlimitedStorage: to save your projects and keywords locally without running into browser storage limits.
- Access to supported Google Search domains: to run the collection script on Google Search pages only.
Analytics, ads and selling data
The extension contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. We do not sell, rent or share your data. The website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and operations.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual keywords or whole projects in the dashboard. Removing the extension, or clearing its site data in Chrome, permanently deletes everything NicheSpark has stored. This cannot be undone, so back up anything you need first.
Children
NicheSpark is a professional research tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Significant changes will also be noted in the project's release notes.
